For the current B.Des cycle, NID officially describes DAT Prelims as Stage 1 and DAT Mains as Stage 2. Prelims is used for shortlisting, while the Mains score is used for admission.

MDS provides hands-on, design-oriented exercises for Studio Sensitivity, testing material awareness, spatial thinking, creativity, and time management. We also train for In-Person Sensitivity through communicating ideas, responding to prompts, and interview guidance where applicable.
